Check out my fancy new kitchen, a Hannukah gift from Grandma and Grandpa. I love cooking things in the microwave and playing with the silverware that Great-Aunt Eileen and Great-Uncle Denny got me. I also like to boil things on the stove. The burner even makes bubbling noises. It's a real gas.

Oh Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel, I Made A Lot of Pay!
Today we had our annual family Hannukah party -- aka Dreidel for Dollars. Yes, I know Hannukah is over but we Goldmans have always been a little behind. Before getting into it, we posed for a pic with all the girls. Apparently stripes are in with the under 25 crowd!

Then it was time for one with the boys +1. Looks like Uncle D is trying to grow on his head what Uncle Joshie has under his chin.

I decided to go in for a closer look. Yep, Uncle D's got some something growing under there. He always did like his fuzzies.
Mash-ups all the rage these days thanks to Glee, so Grandpa, Mommy and I rocked out to James Brown and Dean Martin -- I Feel Good/Everybody Loves Somebody.
Uncle Joshie, Uncle Noah (or just Unkie as I call him), Uncle D, and Cousin Ryan got into the act and a dance-off ensued. I busted out my best robot.

Finally, it was time for dreidel. We all broke out our singles. Not sure why Uncle D had so many on him.

The stakes were too rich for my blood (and Aunt Karen was cleaning up) so I decided to quit while I was ahead. If only Daddy had taken my lead before getting suckered into the high-stakes spin-off with Cousin Rob.

After dreidel, it was time for surgery. Great-Grandpa Irv started by extracting an outlet plug from my stomach. It was an electrifying experience.

I was left to recover on my own in the waiting room. Where's health care reform when you need it?!?

Soulshine
Tonight was the last night of Hannukah. As we lit all 8 candles, we thought of Great-Grandpa Abe who passed away earlier this week. With the lights shining bright, we could feel Grandpa smiling down upon us. I'm so lucky I was able to meet him. And I thank him for the good genes he passed down to me -- not the least of which was the ability to pun-tificate on all the things that happen in life. This blog is dedicated to GPAbe.com

Let It Snow!
Now that I'm finally old enough to enjoy the snow (and fit in to my winter gear), Mommy and Daddy let me go outside to play in it.
Mommy's really good at making the snowflakes hold still for the pictures. If only she could do that with me!

Getting Carded
Today Kathy came over to take some "professional pics" to use as fodder for our holiday card. In search of the perfect pose, we started off inside. I let the headband stay on for a few minutes but also insisted on letting my tongue hang out.

After 5 minutes or so, I got a little fussy and we had to replace the headband with pigtails. Using a book to distract me seemed like a good idea at first. But then I never looked up.
We decided to head out to the park. This pose might've worked except for the fact that I was holding something that I couldn't leaf alone.
Clearly, I was driving everyone crazy.
Aren't I just the spitting image?
We really swung for the fences on this one. Daddy's face is partially hidden and mommy's hair's a bit askew but methinks this'll work.
With one good shot under our belt, the pressure was off and I could let my hair down. Well, not really. It was too cold outside.

Hannukah hasn't started yet but the gifts are piling up. I shook each one to try and guess what was inside.

Haha! Daddy just whispered in my ear that he got mommy a gift from CoalGram.com. Guess she was naughty this year!

Mommy helped me practice writing my thank-yous. With all those gifts, my hands hurt just thinking about it.

Mommy also helped me practice for the annual dreidel for dollars gathering coming up in a few weeks.

This is my human dreidel imitation. Definitely a gimel!

And here's the final product. Once again, plugging my blog at every opportunity. It's probably time to start monetizing this thing. I wonder if I know anyone who can help me with internet advertising?

The Countess
My latest trick is counting to ten. It's not quite a straight shot though. I usually skip four and say five twice. Then I always get hung up on seven (aka semmen). I really love NINE! The toaster timer in the background here adds a nice quiz show effect. And then when daddy gives me five at the end it sets me back to counting again. Oh well, it's the thought that counts.
