Got My Guard Up
Brunched with Jenny and Celia and Karen and Sam at Cafe Laguardia. (And Dave and Rusty too.) Felt like the 3rd judge on Idol.

Brown Beer, Brown Beer

Tonight I ate dinner at Janes with Miles. That's not the camera playing tricks on you, Daddy's beer really was that big!

Miller Time!

One of the reasons I love spending time at Bubbie and Zayde's is that my friends the Millers live right across the street. Today, I helped them mow the lawn.

The lawnmower wasn't working too well though, so we had to cover up the grass with a blanket.
Then I decided I'd just try cutting it with my hands!

Ellie Like Birthday!
Karina and Matthew came over to visit me for my birthday. They're back in Chicago so I'm looking forward to hanging out with them again. I still remember some of the Spanish Karina taught me -- mas, agua... yeah, that's about it.
Fortunately, I have Dora to help me keep my Spanish up. She was the wrapping paper du jour at my b-day dinner with the Goldmans.
As per usual, Bubbie snagged me first.
And, as per usual, I was the center of attention.
Until the food came.
Waiter, waiter. There's a fly in my soup. Oh, that's a wonton?!?
Great-Grandpa Irv (who was one of the first to embrace the computer age) got me my very first computer. Now I can blog by myself. Hope you like everything in third-person!
Aunt Karen's mom, Sheila, joined the festivities. She has grandkids of her own (no thanks to Uncle J and Aunt K!) but none that eat like me.
I may be getting older but opening presents never gets old!
In leiu of birthday cake, I made a wish with a straw in lo mein.
When we got home, I tried on my birthday suit. (JK, I have a sweater on under there, somewhere.)
And then I used my computer to type my very first blog post title.

You'll Get a Little Kick Outta this One...

Mommy's been taking me to Little Kickers classes with some of my playgroup friends. We get these fancy uniforms and everything!

Daddy, if you're reading this, make sure to take note of this Bad URL.

I Just Can't Get You Out of My Head

In a video that I'm sure no-one else has ever taken, here are the the first 2 and a half minutes of "It's a Small World." Too bad no-one ever showed Daddy how to do, "It's a Small Video."

Floored in Florida
Today, we went down to Orlando for a few days' vacation before Uncle Noah and Almost-Aunt Sara's wedding. We stayed at a timeshare with the Spiegels so I got some good QT with Leo J. According to my tally, this was date #18. At this point, we don't mess around with small talk. We headed straight for the bedroom....
..then decided we needed some more privacy...
I'm a Great Catch

Check out this video of Leo and me "catching" up on lost time. Highlights include Leo's "uh-oh spaghettios" and "bye Ellie."
Bathing Beauties

Here's another video. Leo and I are much better at washing each other than playing catch. This will definitely be one of the first posts I take down as soon as I'm old enough to do this blog on my own!

Swam Story
I've been taking swim classes on Saturday mornings with Daddy. We mostly just cover the basics. Like, getting in the water.

And sitting on the side again. Come to think of it, there's no swimming happening whatsoever at these lessons. Now I understand where all the women at this "gym" pick up their bad habits.

Gymmie Rig
Once again, I opted for the most dangerous equipment. Apparently, I haven't learned my lesson.
Asher, Roni, and CUV were on a roll!
