1 Year Old!

Even though we celebrated last week, my actual birthday was today. And you know what that means! Brown chair time -- weee! Here's a quick stroll down upholstery lane...

11 Months Old!

I'm the big one-one and can barely fit into the sweater that Bubbie knitted me. It's getting really hard to get me to sit still in the brown birthday chair. As Zayde would say, I've got shpilkes!

By the way, in case you haven't figured it out, I'm prone to a little blog trickery and often back date my posts to make sure they stay in chronological order. 10 Months Old!

I'm really starting to fill up this chair. It won't be long before I can hold the sign myself. And then it won't be long before I can make the sign myself. And then it won't be long before I can take the picture myself. And then I won't need my parents anymore!

9 Months Old!

Happy 9-month birthday to me! It was good to be back in my big brown birthday chair. Speaking of big, I'm already wearing my 12-month clothes. At my last doctor visit, I found out I'm 19 lbs. 8 ounces (which is 50-75th percentile) and 29 inches tall (90th percentile). I still have a small-ish noggin' (17 inches -- 25th percentile) but my proportions are definitely America's Next Top Model caliber.

8 Months Old!

It was tough to do my monthly photo on the road but we made do with the only brown chair Grandma and Grandpa have. There wasn't enough room for the sign though so Grandma had to prop it up behind me. You get the point though... I'm getting bigger!

7 Months Old!

My favoritist new toy is paper. Put me within a few feet of that pulpy goodness and I'm all over it like stink on a monkey. I didn't even give Mommy a chance to get a good shot of my monthly pic. Methinks next month they're gonna have to photoshop the sign in.

6 Months Old!

It's that time of the month again! I'm getting this whole chair thing down now. It only took 3 takes to get this shot. Can you believe I'm already half a year old? Let's take a walk down la-z boy lane...

5 Months Old!

It must be the 28th cuz that seems to be the only time this chair gets any use these days! I'm definitely having an easier time sitting up, although I still tip over every now and then when Mommy or Daddy are fiddling with the camera.

Daddy keeps trying to remember that kids show that was on public television in the 80's with a woman who was shrunk down and sitting in a big oversized chair. Anyone out there remember? Would make a great celebrity impersonation.

Update 9/4: Both Grandma and Bubbie figured out who Daddy was thinking of -- Lily Tomlin as Edith Ann on Sesame Street. Daddy needs to work on his long-term memory. If only blogs were around when he was a little boy, he'd have all those memories documented!

4 Months Old!

Here I am in the birthday chair again. This time I thought I'd spice things up with a little solo kick-line. Forget Wipeout, American Gladiators, and America's Next Top Model... I'm gonna be a Rockette!

3 Months Old!

Here I am on that damn chair again celebrating being one month older. Who doesn't like a birthday with a little chair-y on top?

2 Months Old!

Today was my 2 month birthday. Just like they did when I hit 1 month, Mommy and Daddy propped me up in the big brown chair for a pic. This sign should really say, "I'm 1 month older and all I got was this stupid sign!"

1 Month Old!

Today was my 1 month birthday. Kinda weird to be celebrating monthly milestones again. Seems like forever ago we were doing the monthly countdown while Mommy was pregnant. Had my 4 week checkup at the doctor today. I'm up to 8 pounds 5 1/2 ounces. They measured me at 20 3/4 inches which means I've shrunk since my last appt. Whatevs! Everyone at the doctor's office has a different way of holding the tape measure. The important thing is I'm packing on the LB's. America's Next Top Model be damned -- a girl's gotta eat!
