Mommy Popped (But Hasn't Locked)

From Preggie to Ellie in 24 Seconds

Mommy really did enjoy being pregnant with me but sometime she wished it could've gone this quickly.

Month 9

I'm about 6 pounds now which makes me the size of a melon. And, at 37 weeks, I'm officially full term which means I'm a ripe melon at that. So let's get me out of this belly before I get melon-coly!

Month 8

My dresser sure is filling up. So is Mommy's belly! I'm now almost 5 and a half pounds. The doctors say I'm pretty average (50th percentile for size) but Mommy and Daddy think I'm special. In fact, Mommy thinks I'm breathtaking but that might be because I nestle my butt right under her ribs and push on her lungs.

Month 7

The 3rd trimester is here. So is my new dresser (no, we didn't get rid of Winnie... just moved him into the closet). Check out those cool panels Mommy painted to hang up in my room. I'm about 3 pounds now and can open and close my eyes. Mommy and Daddy are doing lots of shopping for me now, making sure to dot all the eyes and cross all the tees, err... onesies.

Mommy had some fun with her linea negra today, drawing a little flower with lipstick.

Mommy realized for the first time she couldn't see her feet when she's standing up straight cuz I'm in the way. When she told Daddy about it, he had to pull out the camera and see for himself. Here's looking at you kid.

Month 6

You might be wondering about that picture in the background. That was made by my Great Grandma Lotte or Oma as everyone called her. I'm going to be named after her. My middle name Lily is in her memory. I hope I can grow up to be as strong and loving as her. I weigh about 1 and a half pounds now and my wrinkled skin is starting to smooth out. You might say as smooth as a baby's butt but in this case it would be literally.

Month 5

Now you can see me poking out a bit. You can also see Mommy and Daddy starting to get my room ready. That dresser in the corner is the one my Mommy used when she was a little girl. Grandma and Grandpa drove it up all the way from Ohio for me. It has Winnie the Pooh on it. It won't be long before it'll have other pooh on it.

Month 4

The second trimester is here! Mommy still hasn't "popped" yet but she's starting to show a little. I only weigh about 5 ounces at this point -- about the size of an orange. Orange ya glad I inhereted my Dad's sense of humor?! :)

Month 3

Boy, time is sure flying by. Still can't see me but I'm the size of a large lime now. Don't worry though, I promise to be a sweetie.

Month 2

Still no sign of me in Mommy's belly yet -- I'm about the size of a kidney bean now -- but I do have her craving chocolate and bedtime!! She's feeling so tired all the time... like a real has-bean.

Month 1

Here's Mommy proudly displaying her pee stick. This will be our baseline belly shot. You can't see me in there -- I'm only the size of a BB pellet! But I'll be shooting up in size soon.
