Got My Guard Up

Brunched with Jenny and Celia and Karen and Sam at Cafe Laguardia. (And Dave and Rusty too.) Felt like the 3rd judge on Idol.

ADD it up

Today was Uncle Noah and soon-to-be-Aunt Sara's wedding shower in Skokie. Once again, I tried to steal the spotlight from the bride and groom (not to mention, steal some gifts for myself).

Over the course of the party, I went through the 4 stages of attention-deficit-disorder. (In my case, that's not an inability to pay attention to any one task -- although I have that too -- it's an inability to NOT be the center of attention.)

1. Anger.

2. Confusion.

3. Dizziness.



4. Sleepiness.

Gymmie Rig

Today was my friend Alex's birthday party at Gymboree.

Alex ran circles around her guests.

Once again, I opted for the most dangerous equipment. Apparently, I haven't learned my lesson.

Asher, Roni, and CUV were on a roll!

Today Mommy's friends came over to play with me. It was a total chick-fest. Daddy knew his place was behind the camera so he stayed there!

My girlfriends, Hannah and Maisy (who I finally got to meet today), boosted our numbers even more.

Hannah was a lot more content with Mommy holding us both than I was. Doesn't bode well should Mommy and Daddy ever bring home a little brother or sister for me.

I was much more in my element in the kitchen playing with Maisy. She's an a-maisy-ng cook!

When it came time to share my blackberry, a staring contest ensued.

Finally, we squared off with a game of chick-en.

A Christmas Story

Today the Radutnys came over for a playdate. I was excited to see Asher and show him how much I've been train-ing.

Asher, Roni, and I huddled around the cooler to get the latest gossip from Yelena.

As per usual, Vlad got a workout in.

Then Ashie and I got down to business in the kitchen. As you can see, he just played and tried to make me do the cooking and I was not pleased by such gender stereotypes.

So I put Asher to work to finish the cooking but he had to take an important call. He's quite the multi-tasker. Meanwhile, I tried to find the recipe book for pilmenies.

Yelena sure seems ready for a 3rd! :)

Possible Spasiba

Today we had a playdate with the Radutnys. Their new place is great. Tons of room to run around and make a mess. And very close to the elevator. Roni and Asher were very nice sharing their toys with me. Although I only had eyes for this doll.



CUV got a quick workout in before dinner.

Elephant on Parade

When it Nehrenz, it Pours!

We flew into Columbus today to meet up with the Nehrenz gang -- Geoff, Janelle, Grant, Gabrielle, and Julia. It was so great to see them again (and meet the rest of the clan). We played at the mall and went to Cheesecake Factory for lunch. We stopped to take a picture afterward but Gabby and I teamed up to thwart it. Not sure why Nel and Mommy posing for their own picture there in the corner.



As Tyra would say on America's Next Top Model, we worked it out and came back with this fierce shot.



Gabby let us know when it was time to go.

Sizing Up

I was wrong when I said a couple weeks ago that it would be the last time I saw my friend Lily and the rest of the playgroup that Karina organizes. That's what happens when I fall behind on the blog. Daddy's memory gets fuzzy and he has a hard time reminding me of the proper chronology. This is Karina's last week with us and so this is our swan song. We hopped on the couch for one final lineup. Lily and the others are quite a bit older than me but, as you can see, I measure up well. In fact, yesterday, I had my 18 month doctor appt. and my stats were 25 lbs. 9 oz. (70th percentile), 33.25 in. long (90th), and 18.25 in. head circumference (50th).

One for the Road

Sadly, Karina told us she was moving out of the state so this is her last week with me. We decided to squeeze in one last playgroup with her friend's kids at Lily's house. I really hope I get to see her and my other friends again. If not, we'll always have this blog post.

Today Kathy came over to take some "professional pics." Mommy and Auntie Em did some primping to get just the right look.
