Got My Guard Up
Brunched with Jenny and Celia and Karen and Sam at Cafe Laguardia. (And Dave and Rusty too.) Felt like the 3rd judge on Idol.

Ellie Like Birthday!
Karina and Matthew came over to visit me for my birthday. They're back in Chicago so I'm looking forward to hanging out with them again. I still remember some of the Spanish Karina taught me -- mas, agua... yeah, that's about it.
Fortunately, I have Dora to help me keep my Spanish up. She was the wrapping paper du jour at my b-day dinner with the Goldmans.
As per usual, Bubbie snagged me first.
And, as per usual, I was the center of attention.
Until the food came.
Waiter, waiter. There's a fly in my soup. Oh, that's a wonton?!?
Great-Grandpa Irv (who was one of the first to embrace the computer age) got me my very first computer. Now I can blog by myself. Hope you like everything in third-person!
Aunt Karen's mom, Sheila, joined the festivities. She has grandkids of her own (no thanks to Uncle J and Aunt K!) but none that eat like me.
I may be getting older but opening presents never gets old!
In leiu of birthday cake, I made a wish with a straw in lo mein.
When we got home, I tried on my birthday suit. (JK, I have a sweater on under there, somewhere.)
And then I used my computer to type my very first blog post title.

Which Knee? Oh, Disney!
Today we went to the Magic Kingdom. In the parking lot on the way in, I was so excited I could barely contain myself!

I just loved Main Street. All the people and buildings. I couldn't take my eyes off... my snack trap.

It's a Small World was pretty cool. They even had a pre-enactment of Uncle Noah and Almost-Aunt Sara's wedding!

Unfortunately, the ride was broken the day we were. There was something wrong with the record player. It kept playing the same song over and over and over. And sometimes in gibberish.

Daddy is always embarrassing me with his dancing and freestyling. He just has no shame... stilt, to this day!

Before we left, we tried for one more picture in front of the castle. This time we were all looking at the camera but the bozos we got to take the pic decided it was more important to get the whole castle in the frame then be able to see our faces. Another good nose picking wasted! Well, you know what they say... you can pick people to take pictures of you picking your nose but...

I Just Can't Get You Out of My Head

In a video that I'm sure no-one else has ever taken, here are the the first 2 and a half minutes of "It's a Small World." Too bad no-one ever showed Daddy how to do, "It's a Small Video."

Swam Story
I've been taking swim classes on Saturday mornings with Daddy. We mostly just cover the basics. Like, getting in the water.

And sitting on the side again. Come to think of it, there's no swimming happening whatsoever at these lessons. Now I understand where all the women at this "gym" pick up their bad habits.

Gymmie Rig
Once again, I opted for the most dangerous equipment. Apparently, I haven't learned my lesson.
Asher, Roni, and CUV were on a roll!

Chick-fil, aye?
Today Mommy's friends came over to play with me. It was a total chick-fest. Daddy knew his place was behind the camera so he stayed there!
Hannah was a lot more content with Mommy holding us both than I was. Doesn't bode well should Mommy and Daddy ever bring home a little brother or sister for me.

When it came time to share my blackberry, a staring contest ensued.

I Need a Loya
No, I haven't developed a New Yawk accent. (And thankfully neither have Lance or Roya). I just pulled a Bennifer and mashed their names together. As always, when Lance visits, we had a jam session. This time, I played the coffee table like a set of bongos.
After our jam, it was time to get serious. Loya's getting married in a few months and Daddy's officiating the service. While they chatted about what traditions they wanted to include, I took copious notes. Maybe I'll be a court stenographer when I grow up! Hey, don't judge me.

The Gold Standard
Alex has a special brown chair of his own.

It was here that I first developed an addiction to "Elmo TV." Jeff and Stacey -- mommy and daddy thank you.

Jeff had the munchies so I gave him some pizza.

Like father like son.

I guess that wasn't so bad after all!
