What the Hail?

I guess you could call this a milestone. Today I saw my first hail storm. I must say, it was quite nice.

Hung out with Angela for a bit tonight. She was amazed how big I've gotten since she first met me. What can I say? Oranges... bananas... tomatoes... to-mah-toes... I don't discriminate!

Diapers.com has a great slogan -- "We deliver everything but the baby." Daddy even posted it on his GoodSloganBadSlogan.com site. Too bad for mommy I didn't come with free same-day shipping. All I can say is I'm living quite the pampered lifestyle.

Scaling New Heights (and Weights)

Today I had my 12 month doctor check-up. Here are my stats: 22 lbs. 6 oz. (75th percentile), 31.25 in. long (90-95th), 17.75 head circum. (50th). Looks like I've been eating weigh too much sweet potatoes.

Using My Head

When I'm done eating, I usually start throwing the food on the floor but lately I've been putting it on my head. Seems like a better place to store it in case I get hungry later. You might say that's using my noodle but, in this case, it's using my sweet potatoes.

Separate but Equal

As you can see I've got a bit of a gap between my top teeth. It's perfect for drinking thru the straw on my Dora the Explorer sippy cup. Still can't seem to get rid of that pesky leftover avocado, though.

Cousins Ruth and Rachel Milstein paid me a visit today. I was on booger patrol.

Shop Til You Drop

My new favorite toy is my shopping cart. I love to walk with it, kiss it, and throw tantrums when I can't take it upstairs with me for bedtime. In this video, you can see how far along I've come with my walking. I started with just 3 steps then I made it up to 5. Today I pounded out 22 including a mid-stride turn-around before collapsing with exhaustion.

Shiner Happy People

I got to spend some more quality time in my Pack 'N Play today. It's tough to see with the lighting here but I'm sporting quite the shiner on my check after face-planting on one of my wooden box toys. Fortunately, my parents can just pass it off as day-old guacamole.

Not only have I been wearing my hair like a pig's tail but I've been eating like one too.

Uncle Noah came down for a playdate tonight but, once again, he was unclear on the concept of Bunny Ears. This time, he decided to forego the commonly accepted 2 fingers to put up 7. As you can see, I was not amused.

Piggin' Out

I'm barely a year old but I've already gone thru some distinct phases in hairstyle -- first was the comb-over, next came the up-do (aka afro), and then the rat-tail. Now we can add one more to my repertoire -- the pigtail (singular). I think this is the one that's gonna propel me to success in the modeling world -- in other words, it'll really help me bring home the bacon.

Drop, er... Stand and Gimme 5

I'm getting the hang of this walking thing, almost doubling my last effort. In this video, I take 5 steps before crumbling. Then I pull myself up on the couch and do a little dance before nearly reenacting the great fall of 02 (that would be February).
