"Because Babies Love Paper"
That's the slogan of this product. And it pretty much says it all.
Bleeding Cubbie Blue, er... Pink
Got all dolled up for my 2nd Cubs game of the year. Last time I went I slept the whole time but brought the Cubs victory. Not so on either count this time around...
I've developed a bit of "stranger danger" and from the opening pitch, er... sight of CUV, I started crying and never regained my composure. Mommy and Daddy tried to calm me down by avoiding the crowd and sitting in the restaurant with me covered up in the Baby Bjorn. But there was no getting over this one. Just too many people and loud noises.
We ended up leaving in the 5th innining. The Cubs went on to lose but the day was not a complete failure. We did manage to get this nice pic at the Haray Caray statue on our way out of Wrigley.
Alright, let me hear ya! A-one a-two a-three. Take me out of the ballgame. Take me away from the crowd...
Here's Looking at You Looking at You, Kid!
Anytime I see pics of the bald patch on the back of my head, I think of that scene from 40-year old virgin (I know I'm too young to see that movie but my parents are very liberal!)

Eating Up For Lost Time
Met my new friend Sarah today. She was born 3 days before me but I've got a good half a pound on her. Her Mommy, Sabina, was not used to holding a baby of my, er... caliber and almost dropped me into the stroller!
Lloyd, Ron and Daddy all went to college together. The last time the 3 of them were in a picture together they were holding beers not babies!

Vegas Baby!
Mommy and Daddy's friend Ron aka Ronny Ron aka Mo aka Almighty came in from Vegas to pay his respects. He's a big fan of my blog and will be psyched to see his picture up here. I know this whole idea of sharing every day of my life is a novel concept to a guy born and raised in the city with the slogan, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." Don't worry Mo, when I come out to visit you, I'll be sure to leave the camera at home!

5 Months Old!
It must be the 28th cuz that seems to be the only time this chair gets any use these days! I'm definitely having an easier time sitting up, although I still tip over every now and then when Mommy or Daddy are fiddling with the camera.
Daddy keeps trying to remember that kids show that was on public television in the 80's with a woman who was shrunk down and sitting in a big oversized chair. Anyone out there remember? Would make a great celebrity impersonation.
Update 9/4: Both Grandma and Bubbie figured out who Daddy was thinking of -- Lily Tomlin as Edith Ann on Sesame Street. Daddy needs to work on his long-term memory. If only blogs were around when he was a little boy, he'd have all those memories documented!

French Connection
I got tired of boring baby sunglasses and those blublockers just aren't my style. Now this is what I'm talkin' about! Can you believe Mommy thought these wouldn't get any more use after she wore them 2 years ago for Halloween as part of her Paris Hilton getup?

Pick-nic
Hung out with Yelena, Roni, and CUV today. And finally got to see my BF Asher again. He sure has grown since last time I saw him.
Once again, Roni was my #1 pick.
Asher has this funny "angry at the world" face. Wonder if he's still upset over the snip-snip? Or maybe he's just mad that I've been parading around town with Leo J.

Kung Fu-Pampers
Cousin Rachel came to visit today. Got into my best Praying Mantis ready stance to protect her from the paparazzi.

Kid-ding Around
Got together with my friends at playgroup today. They thought it would be funny to play the "pull my finger" trick.
Little did I know she'd actually lean over and let one rip. P.U.
Thankfully Mommy moved me to the other end of the couch so I could get some fresh air!

Gut Instinct
Don't forget to roll over the pictures as you read my blog to see behind-the-scenes commentary. Sorry if the puns in this post are more than you can stomach.
All In the Family
Met cousins Carol and Alan today. We had fun hanging out and showing off our colorful threads. They have a grandkid about the same age as me (and some older ones too) so they were pro's with me.

Lily in the Middle
Grandma and Mommy took me to the Botanic Gardens today. We saw lots of different types of Lily but none as pretty as the one below...
S.W.A.K.
Grandma came for a visit this week. We had a great time playing, walking, eating, and pooping (Mommy and Daddy have me on prune juice now... sorry, is that TMI?) Speaking of TMI, what's this whole SWAK business? Does people actually write letters? And then seal them with lipstick? Why wouldn't they just send an email and toss out a TTYL or C U L8R?

De Plane! De Plane!
WENT TO THE CHICAGO AIR AND WATER SHOW TODAY. IT WAS A LITTLE LOUD SO I HAD TO TAKE PRECAUTION...
It was a beautiful day with blue skies. The Blue Angels put on quite the show. And Mommy's blue sundress made her nearly invisible...
Met up with Leo for what technically was our fifth date. He barely recognized me, I've gotten so big. In fact, he couldn't stop staring...
We stopped for a skyline pic on the way home. I was worn out after a long day and had been giving all the cues that I was ready for a nap but Mommy wasn't earring me so I had to prod her along...

Giddyup Giddyup Rawhide!
Mommy took me to work today and someone had this stupid hat lying around. Once a prop, always a prop, I guess.

Car-aoke
By now, you're already aware of my aspirations to become America's Next Top Model and/or the star of American Gladiators. Let's add American Idol into the mix. One thing's for sure... when I grow up I will definitely be American!
Here I am cruisin' the streets of Athens belting out the tunes, er... tones. Watch as Auntie Em gives me my cues and teaches me how to pretend my fist is a mic.

Posed for a couple group shots before hitting the road. Managed to avoid spitting up on Grandpa this time...

My Fair Lady
Hung out at the Athens County Fair today. What a treat. Kicked things off with a little tractor-pull spectating. Yep, you heard that right...
Then I flew the coop...
What would a fair be without eating some fried food?
Tried to keep Daddy from spending all his money on the rigged carnival games...
But forgave him after he won me these beads at skeeball...

Eliara Air
Took my first airpline trip today to visit Auntie Em and Grandma and Grandpa in Ohio. We flew Southwest and the flight wasn't full so I got a seat all to myself. Thank goodness Bubbie printed our boarding passes while I was at the doctor yesterday so we had A's. I was a pretty good girl on the plane, staying awake but calm pretty much the whole way. I fussed a little the last 10 minutes but hey, I'd like to see you sit in a car seat for a whole flight. You think the leg room in coach is bad?!
Pretty in Pink
Here I am playing with Mr. Big Toe, a present from Auntie Em. Check out my fresh duds. See daddy, you're not the only one who can rock a neon wifebeater.
Gracie'ing Us With Her Presence
Finally met my dog-in-law, Gracie. She wasted no time getting to know me intimately...
I liked having Gracie around. Someone else to blame my farts on...
We played with one of mommy's toys from growing up. By the end of the day I was doggone tired...

Pea In a Pod
Here I am relaxing on (and blending into) Mommy and Daddy's bed. Went to the doctor earlier today for my (belated) 4 month checkup. Here are my stats:
13 lbs 9 oz, 50th percentile
25 1/2 inches, 90th percentile
Head 15 3/4 inches, 25th percentile
Looking back on my 2 month checkup, seems like I'm scaling up proportionately.

Tomato, To-Mah-toe
We've had the carrot mustache, now comes the tomato nose. What can I say? Daddy "nose" a good photo opp when he sees one.

Bjorn to Party
Put in an appearance at Daddy's company holiday party at North Beach today. Just enough to shake some hands and kiss some, er... adults.
Workin' the Room
My date to the party was none other than Leo J. This was our fourth date (but who's counting?)
Leo's mommy was at it again, trying to tell me what a great future hubby he'll be.
Leo's daddy was doing some selling too. But this isn't what I had in mind when he was telling me about the Spiegel private plane.
It had been 3 and a half months since I last saw New York Neuhauser. Here he is trying to teach me the Paris Hilton pose. Apparently he didn't get the memo that I'm done with America's Next Top Model and am all about the Rockettes now.
