Passunder

Passunder the Passover table is what I did! Great-Grandpa Irv had no idea where I was.

Took a short break to dance with Bubbie and Great-Aunt Sue.

Then went back at the table where a blurry Uncle D tried to passunder with me!

2 for the Show

Today I turned 2. Check out how much I've grown since my 1 year birthday. And 1 month. Pretty soon, we're gonna need a bigger chair.

Oh What Fun to Be Turning One

Ellie at 1 Month!

Ellie Like Birthday!

Karina and Matthew came over to visit me for my birthday. They're back in Chicago so I'm looking forward to hanging out with them again. I still remember some of the Spanish Karina taught me -- mas, agua... yeah, that's about it.

Fortunately, I have Dora to help me keep my Spanish up. She was the wrapping paper du jour at my b-day dinner with the Goldmans.

As per usual, Bubbie snagged me first.

And, as per usual, I was the center of attention.

Until the food came.

Waiter, waiter. There's a fly in my soup. Oh, that's a wonton?!?

Great-Grandpa Irv (who was one of the first to embrace the computer age) got me my very first computer. Now I can blog by myself. Hope you like everything in third-person!

Aunt Karen's mom, Sheila, joined the festivities. She has grandkids of her own (no thanks to Uncle J and Aunt K!) but none that eat like me.

I may be getting older but opening presents never gets old!

In leiu of birthday cake, I made a wish with a straw in lo mein.

When we got home, I tried on my birthday suit. (JK, I have a sweater on under there, somewhere.)

And then I used my computer to type my very first blog post title.

The Rain is Spain...

...will not fall on me! Check out this cool raincoat and boot ensemble I got from Auntie Em.

Tan-dem

Daddy's been spending so much time writing his book that he never got a base tan. Today, he laid out for a few hours and overdid it.

Mommy (as always) is tanning well.

Auntie Em too.

Grandma's not quite as dark but still nicely baked.

Curtain Call

I love our condo. So many good hiding spots. And my bedroom, er, closet (not pictured) is nice and cozy too.

Another Day Another Peso

Today was a good day for animal spotting. And tank top (white) spotting.

We took an hour boat ride and this dolphin followed us pretty much the whole time.

Daddy's gotten really good at solocameraprenuership

Back at the resort, Grandma and I got into the swing of things.

And then I worked on my tan a bit with Grandpa. (Those 2 small patches of arm that were uncovered.)

Yes We Can-cun

Got some more QT in at the pool today. Or you might say I pooled up all my extra time.

Everyone had a little extra frizz in their do's today!

Well, except Grandpa, that is.

And my game of peekabo sure didn't help keep the coif in place.

Behind Bars

Our condo overlooks the pool. This balcony is where Daddy got a lot of writing done for his book (when I wasn't on it, of course).

I loved playing on (and off and on and off) the stairs in the pool. Auntie Em did a good job making sure I didn't off myself on the off part.

Happy Baday

Tonight we celebrated an early birthday for me. As you can see in this vid, I was very excited for the cake. And Daddy was very excited by my attempts to sing Happy Birthday.

Clearly, I wanted to have my cake and eat it too.

Check.

Then the sugar started to kick in.

It's Always Sunny...

Headed down to Mexico today for a week vacation with the Neimans. I was ready for sun and fun and some quality upside down time (one of my new favorite activities).

When we got to our condo at Royal Resorts in Cancun, I couldn't wait to show Grandma all my new tricks. I call this "a stretch to chair-ish."

Still haven't quite figured out these sunglasses.

You'll Get a Little Kick Outta this One...

Mommy's been taking me to Little Kickers classes with some of my playgroup friends. We get these fancy uniforms and everything!

Daddy, if you're reading this, make sure to take note of this Bad URL.

Hey Evan, no hands in soccer!!

Word

In this modern day mashup, Daddy conjures up a Beastie Boys book reading, passing the mic to me to complete each sentence of "I Ain't Gonna Paint No More."
