My First Home Visit

Mommy and Daddy's friends Vlad and Yelena stopped by to say hi today. They brought my new gal-pal Roni. We're gonna be BFF.

My First Bath

Grandma, Mommy, and Daddy gave me my first bath today. It was a sponge bath. They dabbed each part of my body then dried it. I could get used to this. Then they tried to make my hair into a mohawk. Not so much.

My First Photo Shoot

Today I officially started on my path towards becoming America's Next Top Model. I had my first photo shoot and, like all top models, I didn't eat much. Mommy and daddy hired a professional to come to the hospital and take some glamour shots. Aren't I just adorable? I wish they'd done more with my hair though. Can a girl get a bow here?

Grandma and Grandpa (their preferred moniker) rushed in from Ohio to meet me. Can't wait til I'm old enough to eat Harold's Fried Chicken with Grandpa. It was fun having them around for a few days and then Grandma stayed with me for a couple more to help Mommy and Daddy get some sleep.

Four Generations

Scary. No not Zayde's mask (although that's scary too). The fact that they let 4 generations of this family continue to reproduce. I'll try and carry on the tradition of good card-playing and bad puns.

My Bubbie

Bubbie couldn't wait to meet me. Too bad the mean folks at the front desk of the hospital woudn't let her onto the unit. So she waited and waited and waited and FINALLY got to come in the room and hold me. She hasn't put me down since. :)

My First Motion Picture

Sorry to disappoint all my fans out there who were hoping for a video of my actual birth. The hospital wouldn't allow it (not like Mommy would've anyway). So here I am just a few minutes afterwards. The nurses have me on the warming table while they clean me off and take my vitals. If you listen closely you can hear them giving my Apgar score ("9 and 9" which is good). Daddy then pans over to a tear-filled Mommy who manages a smile while the doctors put her back together again. Please no humpty-dumpty jokes... Mommy's been through enough what with the 24 hour labor and all.

Hello World!

Here I am. 6 pounds 12 ounces 20 inches. Curly brown hair, blue/grey eyes and a smile that will melt your heart. I was delivered at 12:44pm today and am doing great! Mommy's doing well too - she was a champ. 2 1/2 hours of pushing - I was very stubborn! The paparazzi has been all over me since I arrived. This one was taken just 3 minutes after I emerged from my dressing room, er... womb.

Mommy really did enjoy being pregnant with me but sometime she wished it could've gone this quickly.

Month 9

I'm about 6 pounds now which makes me the size of a melon. And, at 37 weeks, I'm officially full term which means I'm a ripe melon at that. So let's get me out of this belly before I get melon-coly!

Baby Shower #3

Boy, I am sure popular! Or maybe it's Mommy? The co-workers she's tight with showered her with more quality time and fun presents today. We had a nice dinner at Buona Terra -- Mommy ate lots of pasta and dessert. We were both stuffed! Thanks to Mommy's friends Kathy and Robyne for planning everything.

Baby Shower #2

Mommy's co-workers at the hospital threw a shower for me. Got some more goodies -- lots of cute clothes and a Pack and Play! Thanks to everyone on 10 West for their generosity! Mommy only has 2 more weeks of working before she takes her leave. She's going to miss all her work peeps but is looking forward to relaxing with her feet up and having some quiet time before I come out and rock her world.

Month 8

My dresser sure is filling up. So is Mommy's belly! I'm now almost 5 and a half pounds. The doctors say I'm pretty average (50th percentile for size) but Mommy and Daddy think I'm special. In fact, Mommy thinks I'm breathtaking but that might be because I nestle my butt right under her ribs and push on her lungs.
